DJ Profile

Started in 1972 with kit I built myself. I\'ve been DJing off and on for 35 years. I\'m 54 now, and still love doing it. My shows are essentially request driven, with request slips handed out. I carry upwards of 50,000 tracks (although many will be duplicates, you know the sort of stuff that goes onto various artist albums(at least 10 Brown eyed Girls)). That said, it has to be obscure if I haven\'t heard of it, and can offer something similar. I was one of the co runners of Plymouths first punk night club and have managed a record shop for some years in the seventies and eighties.
I\'m a music anorak and intend to one day own at least an MP3 of every single to enter the UK charts.

Music

If I have a speciality, it\'s rock, heavy metal, folk (yep, weird I know) and anything that isn\'t hip hop, house or garage (although I have been known to play them if the audience wants it.) I also plug new bands in the style of the late great John Peel (You get a warm feeling if it fills the floor and people come up and ask just who that was!).

Oh yeah, I will be MP3 ready by sometime in 2011. Lots of tracks to convert and tag.
